How You Do One Thing is How You Do Everything

Do you know that feeling of easily eating fast food when you’ve skipped the gym lately?

Like, one good habit that you failed for a week automatically activates the next bad habit.

The same applies to phone use.

I noticed that when I’m not really connected to myself, if I’m under the weather or I’m feeling down, I go for my phone faster.

I’m aware that one bad habit easily kicks-off the next, and the next, and the next.

That’s why it’s so important to have your life in order.

How you do one thing is how you do everything.

You can’t only work on reducing your phone use while neglecting other important elements that make your life a successful and healthy one.

You want bring such determination, discipline and tenacity to other desired activities and habits.

You want to reduce your screen time + sleep well + eat well + going to the gym + working on your future self etc.

When you focus on improving the other necessities of a fruitful life, it is much easier to use social media in limited ways.

It will make total sense not to use your phone so much, let alone social media.

One good habits triggers another good habit the same way a bad habit triggers another bad habit.

That’s why you want to build good habits one by one so they will all reinforce and strengthen one another.

You become an entirely new person.

A person who lives his or her values instead of just thinking about them.

You happily define yourself now by your actions and not your intentions.

You will identify yourself with those good habits.

Soon you won’t be excited that you’ve repeated a good action again, because it is part of you.

That’s who you are.  Your standards are raised and you demand more from yourself.

Like brushing your teeth, you won’t be surprised you’re doing it.

That’s the level you want to be on with your good habits.

So when you start eating well for example or you go to the gym,  that will be a catalyst to reduce your screen time more, and vice versa.

So again: how you do one thing is how you do everything.

Meaning: your identity is all about taking care of yourself and doing your best in every way possible.
